Dominic Manuel has always made family a priority in his life.  In an effort to honor his dad who was diagnosed some years ago with dementia, he couldn’t think of a better way.  Keeping with the thought of family and traditions there were several home recipes to choose from.  Dad made some of the best sweet potato pies this side of heaven and had taught Dominic prior to the on-set of his illness.  It was something that family looked forward to mostly around the holiday season.  Dominic wanted to pass on a legacy to his son and share with the world one of the gifts his dad had given to him.  Thus, the beginning of Manuel’s Sweet Potato Pies.

Also, available on this site are Momma’s rolls.  Another Manuel secret passed on from generation to generation between the wives of the family.  Dominic’s grandmother taught his mom and she vowed to never share the secret until one of her four boys were married.  These roll have been served out of restaurants and shared in homes throughout the DMV.  Truly reminds you of home and grandma’s cooking, they are savory and can be eaten with breakfast, lunch or dinner!
